About Vargas
Patricia Vargas has been the Practice Manager at Houston Kidney Specialists Center since its inception in March 2019. She has been instrumental in helping the company during its initial days in every aspect including marketing, establishing new offices, hiring and training staff to align with the company’s philosophy of delivery of care. She was born in South Texas and assisted with her family health care business in her early days when she developed a passion for helping those with healthcare needs. She then pursued Nursing and Graduated from TX
A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. Subsequently, she worked at Valley Regional Medical Center and provided RN contract services for Adult Day Care Centers up until she moved to Houston in 2013 and worked at St. Luke’s Hospital at the Vintage. She was invited to join Nephrology Practice under the mentorship of Dr. Munikrishnappa in 2016. Patricia was chosen to the leadership position of being the Manager at HKSC in March 2019, in cognizance of consistent appreciation from her patients, her excellent communication skills, personable nature and professional approach in handling HR issues. Patricia strongly emphasizes constant training of staff not only to deliver the highest level of care at HKSC, but also do so compassionately.
She values patient feedbacks and considers the care coordination as a top priority at HKSC. Patricia is continuing to advance her career simultaneously and is in the process of obtaining her Master’s degree from Texas Women’s University in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with anticipated graduation in 2021. She enjoys spending time with her little one and her husband as well as her extended family! She likes travelling, playing tennis and dances in her spare time.
